SOCORRO, N.M. -- The New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources (NMBGMR) recently published a full-color poster featuring 19 mineral specimens from New Mexico. The minerals selected for the poster offer a glimpse of the beautiful mineral specimens that can be found in New Mexico.

The 24-inch-by-36-inch poster also highlights the photography skills of renowned photographer Jeff Scovil. Scovil, an internationally published photographer, is the author of Photographing Minerals, Fossils, and Lapidary Materials. His work can be seen in mineral and lapidary magazines throughout the United States, France, Germany, and Russia.
