"WHAT I DID AT SUMMER CAMP . . ." Nearly 50 children with neuromuscular diseases recently attended the New Mexico Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) summer "boot camp," held this past week on the New Mexico Tech campus in Socorro. Various fun activities were staged for the children, including a visit from a helicopter squadron based in Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque. Several MDA campers and their counselors were allowed to sit in the cargo bay and at the controls of an actual military "chopper" during the squadron's demonstration.
