Endowment to Honor Victor Saracini

New Mexico Tech alumni are vigorously raising funds to honor the memory of Victor Saracini, a 1976 graduate of the university who was one of the many killed in the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Saracini was the captain of United Airlines Flight 175, which was crashed into Tower I of the World Trade Center by terrorists.

After Vic graduated from Tech, he served in the Navy, where he trained as a pilot. He worked for United for about 16 years. He was survived by his wife, Ellen, and two children, Kirsten and Brielle.

Two of Vic's classmates, Geza Keller and Tom Dillon, are working to create a scholarship at New Mexico Tech to honor Vic's memory.

If each alumnus who attended New Mexico Tech during the years Vic was on campus will contribute $7.50, we will have enough money to endow a scholarship.
