John Farkas Scholarship

John Farkas, Jr., was a 1938 graduate of the New Mexico School of Mines, with a degree in metallurgical engineering. He passed away on Jan. 14, 1986. He had left instructions to found this fund in appreciation of the excellent instruction and training he had received at the School of Mines, which made him highly esteemed by his employers. Fond memories of all aspects of his college years remained with him throughout his life.

The fund benefits students who qualify for a Presidential scholarship.
