FE ExamNew Mexico Tech seniors majoring in engineering are required to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in order to graduate. The Spring 2008 FE exam will be given on Saturday, April 12, 2008, on the New Mexico Tech campus. Registration deadline is Feb. 22, 2008. The next exam after that will be in October 2008. Information is on the web at www.els-examreg.org. Application form for New Mexico. To verify your application, the NCEES site posts a list of candidates who have successfully enrolled for the exam, and candidates may check these lists periodically. Approximately 30 days prior to the exam, ELSES will mail to each candidate an Exam Admission Card/Information packet. An NCEES FE Handbook (advance copy) will NOT be provided. Candidates may obtain an advance copy of the handbook from the NCEES web site. There are FE exam study books in the library, and in some department offices. Students can also purchase study books from http://ppi2pass.com/ppi/PPI and from other on-line book sellers, such as Amazon.com. Only approved calculators may be used in the test. A list of approved calculators may be found at http://www.ncees.org/exams/calculators/#approved . Information on the test is available at www.els-examreg.org.
