Tech Ruggers Win One during Their Tour of Wales

BETHESDA, WALES, March 12 -- The New Mexico Tech men's rugby team, "the Pygmies," have put a notch on the win column on their current rugby tour of Wales, considered by rugby aficionados to be the international capital of the sport.

Last night, in a match played under the lights on rugby field situated on a historic Bethesda battlefield, the Tech Pygmies bested the local 19-Select-Side Team of Northern Wales by a score of 22 to 19.

Earlier in the week, the Pygmies were given a rude awakening after arriving on Welsh shores as they were thrashed by the host Neath Athletic Rugby Football Club, 81 to 3.

Today, the New Mexico Tech men's rugby team travels to Pwllheli for yet another match on their 11-day tour of Wales.
