Alumnus Writes Book on Engineering Ceramicsby George ZamoraSOCORRO, N.M., December 20, 2001 -- New Mexico Tech alumnus Murat Bengisu is the author of a recently published book, Engineering Ceramics. The 510-page, hardcover book is the latest addition in the Engineering Materials series of textbooks published by Springer- Verlag Publishing, Inc. Bengisu, who is now a faculty member at Eastern Mediterranean University in Gazi Magusa, Cyprus, received his master of science degree in metallurgical engineering at New Mexico Tech in 1987, and stayed on at the state-supported research university to earn his doctorate in materials engineering in 1992. | |
