The NMT men's soccer team improved their record to 9-2-1 with recent wins over Las Chivatas, 4-0, and 242-Ride, 2-0. Senior Randy Clark came alive with a hat-trick against Las Chivatas. Dan Young and Nate Vanderlinder were able to force the ball to the back of the net against a very tough 242-Ride goal-keeper. Maurizio Leo and Rafael Alvarado got the assists. NMT Goal-keeper Hanh Nguyen continued his string of shut-outs with a fabulous penalty kick denial against the Chivatas. Veteran defenseman Tony Zimmerly contributes his aggressive and consistent play in the backfield to frustrate opponent offenses. Look for the NMT Miners on Sundays at Milne Field in Albuquerque.
