Aerojet Supports EE Lab

Peterson, Henninger, Wedeward

PASSING THE BUCKS -- May 17, 2001 -- The Aerojet office in Socorro recently made a $11,670 contribution to New Mexico Tech to help complete the electrical engineering department's new Controls/Robotics Laboratory. For the past three years, Aerojet has donated $3,000 each year in ongoing support of the development and construction of the lab facility. The new lab will give Tech students valuable experience with industry standard data acquisition and control hardware and software, allowing them to apply control theory to real experiments. Aerojet, a subsidiary of GenCorp, has been a tenant at the New Mexico Tech Research Park since 1985. Pictured (left to right) at the check passing are: W. Dennis Peterson, Tech vice president for administration and finance; Greg Henninger, manager of Aerojet's Socorro operations; and Kevin Wedeward, assistant professor of electrical engineering at Tech.
