Sign on the Dotted Line

Woodward, Lopez, Gerity, sign MOU

"SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE . . ." Several top administrators at New Mexico Tech and Sandia National Laboratories met at Sandia on December 13, 2001, to sign two important memoranda of understanding (MOU). One agreement will now officially allow Tech to offer specialized curricula associated with its master of science degree program in engineering mechanics with a specialty in explosive engineering to participants enrolled in Sandia's Weapon Intern Program. The other agreement allows the university to collaborate with Sandia scientists and engineers on research and development in areas related to power sources manufacturing. Pictured signing the MOUs are Joan Woodard, executive vice president and deputy director at Sandia National Laboratories; Daniel H. López, president of New Mexico Tech; and Peter F. Gerity, vice president for academic affairs at New Mexico Tech.
