Senior Mine Engineer

• Mine planning and Scheduling and Mine Software experience required.
• Work with Mining and Processing technical staff to manage operating and capital costs, and production capacity estimations. Develop economic pit and pushback designs. Develop mine, stockpile, and copper production schedules and associated capital schedules.
• Perform economic cash flow and investment analysis on production schedules and associated operating plan. Perform scoping level through feasibility level operating plans.
• B.S. or advanced degree in Mining or Geological Engineering
• Seven years experience in a mining environment
• Proficient in Minesight software including Minesight Strategic Planner (821)
• Proficient in NPV Scheduler
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software Commitment to safety as a core value
• Willingness to work effectively in team-based environment
• Must possess initiative to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
• Proficient in mine planning computer software
• Proficient in performing economic evaluations
• Proficient in data analysis
• Ability to manage projects beginning with an economic evaluation and a scope of work, coordinating personnel and equipment
• Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software
• Ability to write reports and give verbal presentations
• Capable of implementing initiatives
• Demonstrated leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and use of SQL Database software
• Knowledge and use of computer programming software; Visual Fortran, Visual Basic
