Cecil Rhodes Amis Memorial Scholarship

Cecil R. Amis was a 1928 graduate of the School of Mines with a bachelor's degree in mining engineering. He bequeathed New Mexico Tech $10,000 (which we matched) for a memorial scholarship. The scholarship was not restricted to any particular major.

Cecil Amis was born on Dec. 24, 1902, and died on Sept. 17, 1992. He lived in Gainsville, Tex., at the time of his death.
