Timothy Wangler, Cramer Award 2001

SOCORRO - Timothy Wangler, a native of Clovis, received one
of New Mexico Tech's top awards at Commencement ceremonies on
May 12, 2001. Wangler, a graduate of Clovis High School, is the
son of John and Nora Wangler of Clovis.
Wangler received the Tom Cramer award for the male engineering
student with the highest grade point average. He graduated with
a bachelor of science degree in chemical
engineering with highest honors.
Wangler recently was named the research university's "Engineering
Student of the
Year," an annual award presented by the New Mexico Society
of Professional Engineers (NMSPE). He was also named New Mexico
Tech's outstanding senior in the Waste-Management Education and
Research Consortium. During the past two summers, he has worked
as a process engineering intern at Intel Corporation's microchip
fabrication plant in Rio Rancho. The results of his work have
led to process improvements at Intel, which lead the company to
present him with a recognition award and a job upon graduation.
