General Admission Process
Admission Process
New Mexico Tech’s Office of Admission evaluates applications on a rolling basis. Once an admission decision has been reached, you will be notified by mail.
Applying
In order for the student’s Application for Admission to be evaluated, we MUST have the following documents:
Entering Freshmen (Admission Requirements)
- Official High School Transcript
- Official ACT/SAT Test Scores
- Senior Class Schedule
Transfer Student (Admission Requirements)
- Official Transcripts from ALL Colleges/Universities Attended
Dual Credit (Admission Requirements)
- Dual Credit Request Form (MUST be signed by high school counselor)
- Family Educational Right to Privacy Act Release Form (MUST be signed by student and parent/guardian)
- Official High School Transcript
Concurrent Enrollment (Admission Requirements)
Official High School Transcript
Special Student (Admission Requirements)
- High School Transcript
- College Transcript from Last Institution Attended (if applicable)
Once Accepted
Admitted Entering Freshmen & Transfer Students
Once the student has been admitted to New Mexico Tech, he/she should receive the following information and documents. Without completing and returning the required forms, the student will NOT be able to register for classes:
- Admission Letter
- Acceptance of Admission Statement & Fee (required)
- Insurance Verification (required)
- Immunizations Records Request
- Room & Board Application and Agreement / Rates

Appealing an Admission
If the student does not meet the requirements for admission, but believes he/she has the skills to succeed at New Mexico Tech, he/she can appeal their admission to New Mexico Tech
