Saracini, a 1976 graduate of New Mexico Tech, was the captain of United Airlines flight 175, which was overtaken by terrorist hijackers on September 11, 2001, and crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Showing few signs of their two-week hiatus due to midterm exams and spring break, the Pygmies used efficient lineout play and superior team speed to overcame some shaky passing and a shell-shocked home team.
