Mission Statement

The Center for Student Success operates under the belief that:

•      Students can be successful as a result of their own individual goals and efforts.
•      Students have a desire to learn and that their learning needs vary according to their individual skills, goals, and experiences.
•      Students hold their own beliefs and opinions.
•      Students can be responsible for their own behavior.

As such, the Center for Student Success facilitates the development of quality advising relationships between faculty and students, as well as provides a wide spectrum of academic support services to help students explore their life goals, interests, abilities, and values.

Academic Success Action Plan

This packet is provided to help students address issues they have that can interfere with their success at NMT.  It is used to create a three-semester plan based on the goals and current academic situation for each student. Students placed on Academic Warning MUST complete this packet.  This packet includes an example as well.
