Geochronology Workshop

The N.M. Geochronology Research Lab at the Bureau of Geology is hosting 35 geochronologists from seven countries to discuss multiple topics that impact radiometric dating of rock samples and noble gas measurements.
Day 1 (June 6) will focus on sustainable software for isotope measurement and data reduction. Showcasing "PyChron" a software developed by Dr. Jake Ross at the New Mexico Bureau of Geology.  8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Bureau 253.

Geochronology Workshop

Day 2 (June 7) will focus on best practices in laboratory design, data acquisition and data reduction towards fully utilizing ultra-high precision measurements to solve complex geological problems. Discussion leaders will be Drs. Matt Heizler, William McIntosh and Jake Ross. 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Bureau 253
