NRAO Colloquium

Date: Fri. 5 May, 2017 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Duration: 1 Hour
Location: NRAO

Dr. Fulvio Melia, professor of physics, astronomy and applied math at the University of Arizona, is the guest speaker for the NRAO-Socorro colloquium. His talk is titled "A Non-Inflationary Signature in CMB Anisotropies." As the quality of cosmological measurements has continued to improve, tension has grown between observations and the predictions of LCDM. In this talk, Melia will address several "problem" areas, and then focus on the most recent: the emergence of a rather strong non-inflationary signature in the angular correlation function of the microwave background. 11 a.m. in the auditorium of the Domenici Science Operations Center (NRAO). https://science.nrao.edu/facilities/vla/ctw/coll/spring2017/
