Physics Department Dissertation Defense / NRAO Special Talk

Date: Wed. 14 Dec, 2016 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Duration: 1 Hour
Location: NRAO

Viviana Rosero of the Physics Department will defend her dissertation, titled "Weak and Compact Radio Emission in Early High-Mass Star Forming Regions." She will present a high-sensitivity radio continuum survey using the Karl. G. Jansky Very Large Array toward a sample of 58 high-mass star forming-regions. Due to the remarkable improvement in the continuum sensitivity of the VLA, ultimately, this set of detections will likely provide good candidates to enable new tests of high-mass star formation theories, in particular testing predictions of core accretion and competitive accretion models. 2 P.M. in the auditorium of the NRAO.
