The Center for Leadership in Technology Commercialization at NMT presents special guest speaker Lawrence J. Udell. He will present "Taking University Ideas to Market: What Does the Researcher Need to do to Succeed?" Udell will address what Tech faculty, staff, and students who want to commercialize their research and associated inventions be doing? How do innovations go from early stages to money? How can ideas about commercialization be integrated into research efforts with a goal of commercialization? Udell has been involved in over 50 startup companies in the last 60 years. His career in the Silicon Valley has spanned working with entrepreneurs, young dreamers, large technology firms and federal research labs at the highest levels. He is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Management at Tech. He is organizing an Innovation Summit on the Tech campus in April 2016 and is also actively involved with the Center for Leadership in Technology Commercialization. 11 a.m. in Cramer 203.
