MATLAB & Simulink Seminar

Date: Wed. 19 Sep, 2012 9:45 am - 2:00 pm
Duration: 4 Hours 15 Minutes
Location: Skeen Library

MathWorks Inc. will present a complimentary MATLAB & Simulink seminar on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in the Tripp Room (212) of the Skeen Library.

Mehernaz Savai, Application Engineer at MathLink, will be the presenter. Registration is from 9:45 a.m. to 10 a.m. Walk-ins are welcome. The seminar is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes lunch. Attend this free seminar to find out how you can use MATLAB and its add-on products to develop algorithms, to visualize and analyze data, and to perform numeric computation. MathWorks engineers will provide an overview of MATLAB through live demonstrations and examples, showing how you can use MATLAB and related toolboxes for these functions:

  • Access data from many sources (files, software, hardware, etc.)
  • Use interactive tools for iterative exploration, design and problem-solving
  • Automate and caputure your work in easy-to-write scripts and programs.
  • Share your results by automatically creating reports
  • Build and deploy GUI-based applications.

Simulink is an environment for multi-domain simulation and Model-Based Design for dynamic and embedded systems. Simulink provides an interactive graphical environment and a customizable set of block libraries that let you design, simulate, implement, and test a variety of time-varying systems. The presentation will include the following:

  • An introduction to the major capabilities of Simulink.
  • How to model a dynamic system using physical modeling components.
  • How to use simulation to gain a better understanding of your dynamic system.

Faculty, researchers, staff and students can register for this seminar at: http://www.mathworks.com/NMT2012.
