      Student Topic:  Soil building with worms and Wildlife Walk

 

Activity: Learn how worms turn food/garbage into living soil and go on a walk thorugh the Bosque to see the local wildlife.

 

      Location: Open Space Visitor Center at 6500 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120

 

      Time: 9:25am – 3:00pm

 

February 3, 2017

 

      Student Topic:  Fractal Friday at New Mexico Museum of Natural History

 

Activity: Learn how mathematical patterns can be linked/found in nature to create artistic visuals like abstract landscapes.

 

      Location: New Mexico Museum of Natural History

 

      Time: 5:20 – 7:00pm

 

February 25, 2017

 

Student Topic: Bugarium at the Botanic Gardens

 

Activity: View thousands of different bug species in the botanic gardens while visiting the botanic gardens.

 

      Location: Botanic Gardens

 

      Time: 10:00am – 3:00pm

 

March 20-22, 2017

 

Student Topic: UNM/CNM dual credit registration, Health Campus Tour, and Museum of Southwestern Biology

 

Activity: Tour UNM and CNM while taking their accuplacer tests to gain dual credit admission, as well as visit UNM’s health campus for medical students and their museum.

 

      Location: Meet at UNM/CNM on select days

April 22, 2017

 

            Student Topic: Mindfulness and Pilates

 

Activity:  Engage in learning about mindfulness and its benefits, while completing a Pilates workout!

 

            Location:  Meet at UBMS Office

            Student Topic: Summer Info Session

 

Activity:  Gain information on the summer program and finish/turn in paperwork so we know you are coming!
