About the Whitewater Club

New Mexico Tech's whitewater club is for people who enjoy the fun, comradery and teamwork of paddle sports and wilderness float trips, and for those who are not afraid to get wet, cold, or dirty.

Besides the pure fun of paddling, you can study riparian habitat, bird watch, explore archeological sites, view petroglyphs, and see spectacular geological formations, fossils, even dinosaur tracks.

Many trips include professional geologists, dedicated birders or naturalists.

Paddling experience is not required to become a member of the club but each trip member is required to have a dry-bag for their personal gear and is expected to actively participate in all camp duties.
